My Story

I am not a hero, just a survivor who faced homelessness and now wants to help you find your way.

My life changed in an instant following a stroke that led to job loss and the loss of my home. I spent years on the street, and I know exactly what it feels like to have nothing. I have been jobless, penniless, and incarcerated. I know the exhaustion of carrying everything I own because I have no safe place to leave it, and the heartbreak of having my belongings stolen while I slept or attended appointments. I have faced the pangs of extreme hunger, the burning of thirst, and the fear of violence from others. I even battled addiction in my desperation before reclaiming my life after five long years. I understand the survival it takes just to get through one day. Homeless Help Services exists because I truly know what you are going through, and I want to ensure you never have to walk this difficult path alone.

If you’re struggling, you’re not alone
